Quinoa Meatbals


For dumplings

  • ½ cup boiled black quinoa
  • ½ cup boiled White quinoa
  • ½ cup chia seeds
  • ½ cup boiled green lentils
  • 1 teaspoon of cumin
  • 1 teaspoon of paprika
  • 1 tablespoon sumac
  • Salt, pepper

For sauce

  • 5-6 medium tomatoes
  • 1 medium onion
  • 2 cloves of garlic
  • 1 small carrot
  • 2-3 basil leaves
  • Salt, pepper

For Rice

  • 1 cup of Mahmood Basmati Rice


To prepare dumplings, soak the chia seeds with 1 hour of warm water in advance for 1 hour. Mix all the ingredients for the meatballs in another bowl in another place. Make walnut-sized meatballs. Baked in a greased paper tray, it is enough to bake at 180 degrees for 15 minutes. For sauce; Roast the onions in olive oil. After adding carrots and garlic, continue roasting for 2-3 minutes. Add all the ingredients except basil. Continue cooking this mixture on low heat until the tomato absorbs the juice. You can mix it with finely chopped basil and place it on the serving plate. Serve with Mahmood Basmati rice.

Service suggestion

Add the meatballs coming out of the oven to the sauce mixture on the stove, cook for 2-3 minutes and put it on the serving plate.
